Frequently Asked Questions
A: The name “Jaemor” is a blend of family heritage. The farm was originally known as Echols Orchard, but to avoid confusion with other “Echols” farms in the region, founders Jimmy Allen Echols and his wife Valvoreth Morrison Echols created a unique name by combining his initials (J.A.E.) and her maiden name (Morrison). Thus, Jaemor Farms was born in 1981.
A: During the spring, summer, and fall, we grow much of what you see in our market right here on the farm. As a year-round farmer’s market, we also source fruits and vegetables from other trusted farms to ensure fresh, quality produce is always available. If it’s not grown here, you can count on it being as local as possible!
A: While we are not a certified organic farm, we follow the safest agricultural practices based on recommendations from the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences Extension Office. With over a century of farming experience, our family is proud to grow produce that we believe is among the safest and highest quality in the world.

A: We do not harvest any produce during December, January, or February. During the winter, we source fresh fruits and vegetables from other farms—both in the U.S. and internationally—who are in their harvest season. This helps us keep our market stocked with fresh produce year-round.
