Our History

Our family farm, originally known as Echols Orchards, began with peach trees and row crops. Before long, we decided to focus on growing peaches and other fresh fruits and vegetables to sell at our roadside stand on Old Cornelia Highway. Then in 1981, with the arrival of Interstate 985 and Georgia Highway 365, we built a new market right on the farm and renamed it J.A.E.M.O.R. Farms, after the third-generation owners, Jimmy Allen Echols and Valvoreth Morrison Echols.
Jaemor Farms has grown from a simple roadside stand to a special on-the-farm shopping experience. Today, our market is filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, a bakery serving up homemade cakes, sweet treats, and ice cream, and a gift shop stocked with Jaemor Farms sauces, jellies, and local honey. As a leader in Agri-tourism for North Georgia, the Echols family is proud to welcome visitors who want to experience farm life and share in the harvest of each season, with spring, summer, and fall picking activities. And while you’re here, don’t forget to enjoy a delicious meal at The Eatery at Jaemor.
Since 1912, the Echols family has worked hard to make our farm what it is today, and we’re proud of everything we’ve grown.
